My brilliant life

„My brilliant life and other disasters” is the book I’ve recently read. It’s written by Catherine Wilkins and is the second part of the series about a girl named Jessica and her fascinating adventures.

In this part again we meet three girls we already know from the first book „My best friend and other enemies”. In an amusing and attractive way it tells the story about girls’ friendship, competing and about ways of making new friends. Jessica has a trustworthy friend – Natalie, but one day a new student arrives to school and their friendship is put to the test. The author of the book also focuses on another girl, Scarlett - cousin of Amelia. This irritating and big-headed girl, who loves drawing comics, also competes with others. This time for drawing the best comics cover.

All in all,  it is worth reading, because it is brilliantly written and the plot is gapping. You might also enjoy nice, colourful illustrations in the book.
